USA, she/her. On AO3 as Idday.

The website is sleek and subtle. Nowhere on the page does it say the word escort.

In the dim lights of a Vegas club, pre-hungover off a game seven loss to the Knights, Connor tilts his phone screen into himself and scrolls through, slowly, thumb pausing over the profiles of the many men made available to him with a flash of his credit card.

Noah’s two and a half beers in by the time Jack stirs and rolls over, languid and lazy. Jack sits up, twists his torso back and forth with a sigh, and then collapses back onto the pillows, reaching over to tap Noah on the thigh with the back of his hand.

“Still here?” he asks, his voice low and hoarse with sleep.

Noah locks his phone, puts it off to the side. “‘Course,” he says. “Where else would I be?”

Jack crosses his feet at the ankle. “Feel like last year when we did a trip like this you were off sucking titty like eight minutes in.”

“Jesus, Eich,” Noah says, elbowing him in the side. Jack chortles and shifts away from the sharp poke to his ribs, then settles back down, huffing out the end of his laugh.

Noah shifts back into his spot, shoulder brushing Jack’s still-uplifted arm, feeling strangely flustered. They’re friends – they’ve talked about hooking up plenty of times before. “Don’t worry, baby,” Noah says, sickly sweet, trying to play his nerves off, “you got better tits than any girl here.”

In which Noah discovers a few new things about himself, goes on vacation, and kisses his best friend. Not in that order.

i dont know how youre feeling re: actual hockey right now but i just wanted to say that for me, it was incredibly joyful and satisfying to see jack Win It All, and made all the more so by both the real and fictional narratives i have consumed about him for the past several years, so shout out to you for contributing to that as well!

Hi! At this exact moment I am feeling G R E A T! I still feel like I can’t quite believe it? But I am SO happy for Jack and it was joyful and satisfying and all of these things and more.

Generally I’ve been a little distant from actual hockey this season and especially this playoffs because I have WILD superstitions (and also sports anxiety lmfao) that mean I can’t watch or really even pay attention to what’s happening first hand. It is ridiculous but so far not unfounded. Literally I get told by trusted people after the fact what happens in each game so I don’t have to pay attention otherwise. Now that we have reached the end of this playoffs I will probably be a little more active and will def be posting a few things sitting in the folders.
